The Bridge Programme – 1, titled “On the Spring Board of B.Ed. Programme”, was held on 29 July 2025 at the Conference Hall of CICS College of Teacher Education, in association with IQAC, for the newly admitted B.Ed. students.
The session began with a moment of silent reflection, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Rajeev N.J., Assistant Professor of Mathematics and IQAC Coordinator.
The keynote session was handled by Dr. Rages John, Head of the Academic Council and SRC Incharge. He encouraged students to view teaching not just as a job, but also as an occupation, career, profession, and vocation. He quoted famous philosophers and psychologists, and also shared personal experiences from his own teaching journey, making the session both meaningful and relatable.
The session helped students reflect on their purpose and mind-set as future educators.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rajeev N.J., expressing gratitude to the speaker and participants.
The Bridge Programme – 1 served as a motivating start to the students’ journey as teacher trainees.
