The Innovate Create Express collage-making workshop held on 30th June, 2025, was an enriching and creatively stimulating experience for all participants. The session was guided under the mentorship of Dr. Shobharaj P.P., Assistant Professor of Malayalam at KUTEC, Kasaragod, whose insights and encouragement inspired us to explore new dimensions of artistic expression.
The day began at 10:00 AM with a warm and thoughtful welcome speech by Dr. Rajeev N.J., Assistant Professor of Mathematics at CICS College of Teacher Education. His address set a motivating tone for the session, emphasizing the significance of creativity and innovation in education.
The workshop focused on collage-making as a powerful and flexible educational tool. Participants actively engaged in hands-on activities, discovering how collage could be effectively integrated into classroom practices across all optional subjects. The session provided opportunities to think outside the box, using everyday materials in imaginative ways to express ideas and concepts.
A particularly engaging part of the day was the Chart work activity, during which participants collaboratively created both a collage and a painting. This encouraged teamwork, expression, and critical thinking, demonstrating how creative activities can be used productively in the teaching-learning process.
