Inter College Badminton Tournament Brochure Release and Honouring of Sports Journalists
The Inter College Badminton Tournament Brochure Release and the ceremony of Sports Journalists was held on 23/11/2024 at Kozhikode Sports Council Hall Mananchira. The event began with a prayer, setting the tone for a successful and inspiring programme.
Prof. A Kuttialikutty, Vice- Chairman of the Organising Committee, delivered the welcome speech. He warmly welcomed the dignitaries, guests, and participants, and expressed his gratitude for their presence.
Mr Moidu K E Chairman of the Organising Committee, presented the presidential address. He highlighted the importance of sports in promoting physical and mental wellbeing, and emphasized the need to encourage young talent in the field.
The brochure for the Inter-College Badminton Tournament was released by Mr O Rajagopal, President of the Sports Council, Kozhikode. This marked a significant milestone in the lead up to the tournament.
Dr Roy John V, General Convenor of the Organising Committee, presented the tournament proposal. He outlined the details of the tournament, including the schedule, rules, and prizes.
The highlight of the event was the experience –sharing session by Sri Kamal Vardar (Chandra Daily) and Sri Suresh (Mathrubhumi daily), who shared their insights and experiences of covering the Paris Olympics.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Mohammed basher M, Convenor of the Organising Committee. He expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, guests, and participants for making the event a success.
Overall the ceremony was a grand success, and it marked the beginning of an exciting journey for the Inter-college Badminton Tournament.
