Inauguration of "PROSPERA"- Outreach Programme
CICS College of Teacher Education, Mathara, launched its ambitious outreach programme, "Prospera", on 11th November 2024. The inaugural event brought together esteemed educators, professionals, and students, marking the beginning of a promising initiative.
The ceremony commenced with a solemn prayer, setting the tone for the event. Mrs.Shoba Mohan, Headmistress of Olive English High School, delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the significance of collaborative efforts in education.
Mr. C K Muhammed Koya, Chairman of the Educational Committee, presented the presidential address, highlighting the importance of teacher education and community engagement.
Prof. M Mohammed Basheer, Manager of CICS College of Teacher Education, officially inaugurated the "Prospera" programme, outlining its objectives and vision.
Dr. Mathew Joseph, Assistant Professor at CICS CTE, presented an insightful overview of the "Prospera" project, showcasing its potential impact.
Mr. Valappil Mohammed Koya, Secretary of KYK, offered felicitations, acknowledging the efforts of CICS College.
Mr. Majeed, President of PTA Olive, expressed gratitude to the organizers, speakers, and participants.
The inaugural session was followed by two expert classes.
Dr. Shimna Suresh, Assistant Professor of English CICS CTE led an engaging session on "Effective Communication in English." Through a series of interesting activities, participants were actively involved in the learning process. The interactive nature of the class fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas, allowing participants to enhance their communication skills.
Mr. Anulal P, Assistant Professor of Natural Science, CICS, conducted a comprehensive session on "Technology Integration." The class focused on:
1. Creating quizzes and analyzing remarks
2. Building personal websites
3. Creating professional profiles
Participants gained hands-on experience with digital tools, equipping them to integrate technology effectively in their teaching practices.
Meanwhile, the first year students of CICS CTE engaged the classes from class1 to 10, allowing the smooth flow of academic session at school. The participants of the programme praised the workshop sessions for their relevance, clarity, and usefulness.
