INDEPENDENCE DAY REPORT देश की धड़कन

The 78th Independence Day “देश की धड़कन” was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at CICS College of Teacher Education on 15th August 2024.The event commenced at 8.30 AM with a grand march past by the students, demonstrating discipline and unity. This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, where the chief guest Sri c. Sasidharan, a retired High school Assistant and National Teachers Awardee (2013), hoisted the national flag. The gathering stood in respect as the National Anthem this, all attendees took the pledge, reaffirming their dedication to the county’s progress and unity.

Following the formal ceremonies, C.Sasidharan delivered an inspiring speech. He emphasized the crucial role of education in nation-building and urged the future teachers to instill patriotic values in their students. Sharing his experiences as an educator, he highlighted the responsibilities of teachers in shaping a responsible and progressive society. His words resonated with the audience, leaving them with a renewed sense of commitment towards their role in education.

To add to the patriotic spirit of the day, a patriotic song competition was conducted among the five departments of the college. The teams showcased their musical talents and deep love for the country through melodious and powerful performances. After a keenly contested event, the Physical Science Department emerged as winners, securing the first prize with their outstanding rendition.

The celebration concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, faculty members, and students for their participation and contributions. The Independence Day programme at CICS College of Teacher Education was a meaningful and memorable occasion, reinforcing the spirit of patriotism and unity among future educators.
