Magazine Release of 24-’26 batch- English Department “The Quill”

The English Department successfully hosted a manuscript magazine release
event on 27th March 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The highlight of the
programme was the unveiling of the department’s magazine, “The Quill”, by
Ms. Myrtle Victor, Vice Principal of CICS College of Teacher Education, in the
presence of faculty members and students. The event was marked by
enthusiastic participation, making it a memorable occasion.
In addition to the magazine launch, three interactive games added excitement
and engagement. The Rebus puzzle game fostered teamwork and collaboration,
while Guess the Word challenged participants’ vocabulary and listening skills
through sound-based word identification. The Translation and Enactment
Challenge featured a Malayalam movie clip, requiring participants to translate
the dialogues into English and perform the scene, showcasing their linguistic
and theatrical abilities.
Participants were formed into five groups, and the competitions were conducted
with great enthusiasm. Winners were awarded cash prizes as a token of
appreciation for their efforts. The faculty’s presence and encouragement
contributed to the event’s success. Overall, the programme provided the
students with a platform to showcase creativity, teamwork, and language
proficiency, concluding on a high note and leaving a lasting impact on all
attendees.
