Annual Fine Arts Day “ THAKRITHI “

Venue : CICS College of Teacher Education

The Annual Fine Arts Fest, Thakrithi 2025, was held on February 24th , 25th , 27th , and 28th of 2025. The fest was a grand celebration of artistic and literary talents, providing students with an opportunity to express their creativity and skills. The event was divided into two main segments: Off-Stage Events and On-Stage Events, ensuring a diverse range of competitions.
The Off-Stage events took place on February 24th and 25th , featuring competitions that
showcased the students’ artistic and literary abilities. Events such as Pencil Drawing,
Watercolor Painting, and Rangoli allowed students to explore their creativity in visual arts.
Meanwhile, English and Malayalam Elocution provided a platform for students to express their thoughts with eloquence and confidence. Writing competitions, including Essay Writing, Poem Writing, and Story Writing in multiple languages (English, Malayalam, Arabic, and Hindi), encouraged literary expression. Additionally, Collage Making tested students ability to create visually compelling compositions. These events successfully highlighted the diverse artistic and intellectual talents of the participants.
The On-Stage events, conducted on February 27th and 28th , were filled with energy and
enthusiasm. Students captivated the audience with their performances in Oppanna, a traditional group dance, and Light Music, showcasing their vocal skills. The Recitation competitions in English, Malayalam, Hindi and Arabic demonstrated the participants ability to deliver poetry with emotion and clarity. Naddanpattu, Mappilapattu (group) and Thiruvathirakali competition also were conducted. Each performance reflected the students dedication.
To add a competitive spirit to the fest, students were grouped three teams: Layam, Thalam, and Ragam. The teams participated with great enthusiasm, making every event exciting and engaging. After a series of closely contested competitions, Ragam emerged as the overall winner of Thakrithi 2025.Overall, Thakrithi 2025 was a grand success. The fest not only provided a platform for students to exhibit their talents but also fostered a sense of teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation. The enthusiastic participation and high-quality performances made the event a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
