INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

CICS College of Teacher Education, in association with IQAC, organized the Independence Day Celebration 2026 on 15 August 2026 with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm. The programme was conducted to commemorate India’s Independence Day and to foster a sense of patriotism, unity, and responsibility among the students and faculty members.
The programme began with the morning assembly at 9:20 a.m., followed by the flag-hoisting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. by Dr. Shylaja C.V., Principal, CICS CTE. The flag-hoisting ceremony was followed by the National Anthem, creating a solemn and patriotic atmosphere.
The programme continued with an inspiring message by Dr. Roy John V., Assistant Professor, CICS CTE. This was followed by a patriotic song performed by Ms. Malavika Yeshwanth P.K. and team, which added to the spirit of the celebration.
Further, Ms.Najitha delivered a message highlighting the importance of freedom and patriotism. Ms. Fathima Rahman and team presented another patriotic song, followed by a message by Ms.Fathima Rahman. The programme concluded with an energetic and captivating patriotic dance performance, which beautifully expressed love for the nation.
The celebration provided an opportunity for students and teachers to remember the sacrifices behind India’s freedom and to renew their commitment towards the nation. The programme was conducted successfully, leaving everyone with a strong feeling of patriotism, unity, and national pride.
