REPORT ON ESENCIA – TALENT DAY

Esencia – Talent Day was organized on 11 August at the college auditorium with the objective of providing students with a platform to showcase their talents, creativity, confidence and artistic abilities. The programme created an energetic and encouraging atmosphere where students could express themselves through dance, music, acting, movie recreation and other performances.
The programme was conducted in two sessions, with the first session from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the second session from 1:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., with a lunch break in between.
Inaugural Session
The programme commenced with a welcome speech by Mr.Swabeeh, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, teachers and students to Esencia – Talent Day. This was followed by the Presidential Address delivered by Ms.Basima, highlighting the importance of recognizing and encouraging the diverse talents of students.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Shylaja C V, Principal, who delivered the inaugural address and encouraged the students to make use of opportunities to develop and express their talents. Mrs. Myrtle Victor, Vice Principal, offered felicitations and conveyed her wishes to all the participants.
A special felicitation was also given by Mrs. Divya K M, Assistant Professor of Social Science, who appreciated the efforts of the students and the team behind the programme.The programme was anchored by Anza and Basima, who coordinated the proceedings with enthusiasm and maintained the flow of the programme throughout the sessions.
Talent Performances
The talent segment featured a wide variety of performances by the students. The first session included dance performances by Kshema and Anice; songs by Basima, Adrija, Fathima and Team, Malavika and Team, and Fameena and Fidha; a movie recreation by Chandhana and Team; and a dance performance by Josmin and Team. Hazeena and Diya and Team also presented their talents during the session.
Following the lunch break from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., the second session continued with several engaging performances. Basima, Ashna, Chandhana, Shalik, Anza and Team, and Adrija and Team presented dance performances. Kajal and Hazeena and Basima presented a song and entertained the audience. Devananda and Sourav and Team also presented special performances.
The diverse performances reflected the creativity, confidence and individuality of the students and made Esencia a lively and memorable celebration of talent.
Technical and Organizational Team
The smooth execution of the programme was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the organizing team. Mr.Jasir and Mr.Shalik handled the light and sound arrangements, ensuring proper technical support for the performances. Mr.Sreerag, Mr.Hisham and Ms.Malavika were responsible for video recording, editing and documentation of the programme.The overall convenership was handled by Mr.Shahal, who coordinated the various aspects of the programme and ensured its successful execution. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr.Shahal, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, students, performers, technical team, anchors and everyone who contributed to the success of Esencia.
Feedback and Reflections
The programme received positive feedback from both teachers and students. Teachers appreciated the initiative for providing students with a supportive platform to discover and showcase their abilities beyond academics. They also noted the students' enthusiasm, confidence, creativity and teamwork throughout the programme.
The students expressed that Esencia provided them with an opportunity to overcome stage fear, explore their talents and enjoy meaningful interaction with their peers. Many students found the experience encouraging and memorable, particularly because they were able to participate in different forms of artistic expression.
The reflections from both teachers and students highlighted that Esencia was not merely a programme of performances but also an opportunity for personal growth, self-expression, confidence-building and strengthening relationships among the student community.

Esencia – Talent Day successfully achieved its objective of providing students with a vibrant platform to express their creativity and showcase their talents. The active participation of students, combined with the dedicated efforts of the teachers, anchors, organizing team and technical team, contributed to the overall success of the programme. The event concluded on a positive note, leaving the participants and audience with memorable experiences and encouraging everyone to recognize, develop and celebrate their unique talents.
