Programme Report
The GOAL QUEST – FIFA World Cup Quiz Competition was organized on 27 July 2026 for the First Year B.Ed. students at CICS College of Teacher Education. The programme aimed to enhance students' knowledge of football while promoting teamwork, healthy competition, and enthusiasm for sports through an engaging quiz based on the FIFA World Cup.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Roy John V., Assistant Professor in Physical Education. Dr. Lisheetha P. V., Assistant Professor in Mathematics, and Ms. Nandhini, Assistant Professor in Psychology, were also present and encouraged the participants throughout the event.
The quiz was efficiently organized by Anamika E. (Mathematics), Josmin Joy (Mathematics), and Anagha M. (Physical Science). A total of 10 students participated in the competition, with two representatives from each optional subject. The quiz comprised 20 questions covering various aspects of the FIFA World Cup, including its history, legendary players, memorable matches, records, and significant milestones.
The participants displayed remarkable enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the competition. After a closely contested quiz, Sreerag and Shalik from the Physical Science optional secured the First Prize with 18 marks. Anice Jossia Hermon and Malavika Yeswanth P. K. won the Second Prize with 17 marks for their outstanding performance.
The programme concluded with the announcement of the winners and a vote of thanks. GOAL QUEST was a great success, providing students with an enjoyable learning experience while fostering a spirit of healthy competition, teamwork, and appreciation for the rich history and values of the FIFA World Cup
