Student Orientation Programme – EduNova 2026

Objective
The Student Orientation Programme, EduNova 2026, was organized to welcome the newly admitted B.Ed. students and familiarize them with the institution's academic environment, rules and regulations, facilities, and student support services. The programme aimed to facilitate a smooth transition into college life and motivate students to actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities.
Programme Highlights
The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a silent prayer. The Principal, Dr. Shylaja C. V., formally welcomed the newly admitted students and introduced them to the vision, mission, values, and academic culture of the institution. She encouraged the students to uphold professional ethics and strive for excellence in teacher education.The teaching and non-teaching staff’s were introduced to the students, enabling them to become familiar with their mentors and subject teachers. Mrs. Myrtle Victor, Vice Principal, provided a briefing about the college CICS.
Mr. Anulal P., IQAC Coordinator, presented a comprehensive briefing on the B.Ed. programme, including the curriculum, academic regulations, practicum, internship, evaluation process, and expectations from student teachers. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Shimna Suresh, Staff Secretary.
Following a short break, the students were guided to their respective optional classrooms, where faculty members interacted with them regarding their specialization. The programme concluded with a campus visit, during which students were introduced to the library, laboratories, ICT facilities, seminar hall, administrative office, and other student support facilities.
Outcome
The orientation programme successfully acquainted the newly admitted students with the academic structure, institutional policies, faculty members, and campus facilities. It created a welcoming atmosphere, reduced anxiety among the fresh entrants, and fostered a sense of belonging. The programme enhanced students' awareness of academic expectations, quality initiatives, and support services, thereby laying a strong foundation for their professional journey in teacher education.
