The Social Science Club, CivitaZ of CICS College of Teacher Education organized an awareness programme on the occasion of World Consumer Rights Day on 16-03-2026 at 10:10 AM. The programme was conducted with the aim of creating awareness among students about consumer rights and responsibilities. The theme of the programme was “Safe Products, Confident Consumers.”
The programme began with a brief introduction by Hiba, who highlighted the importance of consumer awareness in daily life. This was followed by a PowerPoint presentation by Junaina on consumer rights, which provided detailed information about the rights and duties of consumers.
An interactive game session was conducted to engage the students and reinforce their understanding of the topic. This game was organized by Athira, Dhanya, and Adhithya by sharing their ideas and contributing to the programme.One senior student and one junior student actively participated in the game
A playcard presentation was organized to spread awareness creatively. Rina and Nasheeda presented informative play cards, followed by Reethu, who also displayed meaningful messages related to consumer protection.
The programme was informative and engaging, helping students to understand their rights as consumers. It successfully created awareness and encouraged responsible consumer behaviour among the participants
