The educational tour organized as part of the B.Ed. programme was conducted from 11
February 2026 to 19 February 2026, covering Manali and Delhi. The journey began from Kozhikode Railway Station at 2:37 PM on 11 February, where students assembled earlier with their teachers to begin the trip. Proper planning had been carried out prior to the journey, including arrangements for transportation, accommodation, food, and an itinerary of the places to be visited. Students were given instructions regarding safety, discipline, and cooperation during the trip. As part of the preparations, luggage was marked with orange ribbons for easy identification, and necessary travel items such as food and fruits were carried since the train journey was long. After boarding the train, the group spent the day travelling towards Delhi while engaging in activities such as singing, sharing food, and interacting with one another.
The group reached Delhi on 12 February in the evening. After completing dinner arrangements, the journey continued overnight by bus towards Manali through mountainous roads. The group arrived in Manali the following morning, where they refreshed themselves and had breakfast before beginning the local visits. The first destination was the Hadimba Devi
Temple, a historic temple surrounded by tall cedar trees. Students also walked through Mall Road, which is well known for shopping and local food. During the visit, they experienced aspects of the local culture, including trying traditional dress and observing the lifestyle of the local people in the cold climate. In the evening, a campfire was organized in the snowy atmosphere, creating a memorable experience for the group.
On the next day, the group visited Solang Valley, which is famous for its snowy landscapes and adventure activities. The valley provided breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and offered students the opportunity to experience the scenic beauty of the region. Later, the journey continued to Kullu, which is known for its natural beauty and cultural attractions. The group visited a shawl factory and observed traditional production methods. Students also participated in water activities under the guidance of trained instructors, using appropriate safety equipment and waterproof clothing. After completing the visits in the Manali region, the group began the return journey towards Delhi.
Upon reaching Delhi on 16 February, the students visited several historically significant sites including Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort, India Gate, and Jama Masjid. An unplanned visit to Yamuna Ghat also became a memorable part of the trip. Exploring the city streets and travelling by rickshaw allowed students to observe the urban culture and daily life of the capital city. Following the sightseeing, the group departed from Delhi by train and continued the return journey through Chennai, where they briefly halted before boarding another train to Kozhikode. The group finally reached Kozhikode Railway Station at 7:30 AM on 19 February, marking the completion of the tour.
The entire journey provided valuable learning experiences along with enjoyment and relaxation. Students had the opportunity to observe geographical features, historical monuments, and cultural traditions of different regions of India. The tour also strengthened friendship, cooperation, and communication among classmates while helping them develop adaptability and responsibility during travel. The guidance and support of Anulal Sir and Divya Miss played an important role throughout the journey. Overall, the tour was a memorable experience that combined educational exposure, cultural understanding, and lasting memories with friends and teachers.
