79th Independence Day Celebration Report

The 79th Independence Day Celebration was held with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on 15th August. At 8:45 a.m., the National Flag was hoisted by the esteemed guest, Lt. Dr. P. P. Abdul Razzak, filling the atmosphere with pride and reverence as everyone joined in the National Anthem.

Following the flag hoisting, the celebrations continued at the Conference Hall. The programme began with a solemn Prayer,. And it was followed by a vibrant Flash Mob performance, which captivated the audience and set a lively tone for the day.

The formal session started with a Welcome Address delivered by the Principal, Dr. Shylaja C.V., who greeted the gathering and highlighted the significance of India’s Independence. This was followed by an inspiring Message from Lt. Dr. P. P. Abdul Razzak, who reflected on “Current India”its progress in science, technology, education, and economy, as well as the challenges faced in areas like social harmony, environment, and global competitiveness. He emphasized the responsibility of youth in shaping a stronger and more inclusive India.

After this, Vice Principal Martil Victoria addressed the gathering, delivering a thoughtful Independence Day Message that highlighted the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility. Following her, Ms. Dhanya also shared her Independence Day Message, urging everyone to uphold democratic ideals and work for the progress of the nation.

The cultural session that followed featured melodious Patriotic Songs, which added colour and depth to the celebration, filling the hall with patriotic spirit and reminding everyone of the sacrifices made for India’s freedom.

The programme concluded with a renewed sense of pride and commitment to the nation. The 79th Independence Day thus became not just a remembrance of India’s glorious past, but also a call to actively contribute towards a vibrant and progressive Current India.
