The “Meet the Candidate” session for the College Union Election 2025 was organized by CICS College of Teacher Education on 7th October 2025, Tuesday, at the ICT Room from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM. The event aimed to introduce the candidates contesting for various union positions and to provide a platform for them to express their ideas and visions for the upcoming academic year.
The session began with a warm welcome, followed by the introduction of each candidate. The students had the opportunity to interact with the nominees and understand their perspectives on leadership, teamwork, and campus development. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation and created a healthy democratic atmosphere within the college.
The list of candidates included:
• Afrah Mohammed Raoof and Reethu Krishna M.P – Chairperson
• Aysha Neha PSM – Vice Chairperson
• Aysha Liya K and Mohammed Faheem P K – Secretaries
• Fathima Rinsha T K – Joint Secretary
• Ameen Rahman V, Azeem Irfan V K, Khadeeja Hiba K P, and Rani K M – University Union Councillors
• Fathima Hanan N P and Maya Murali M – Fine Arts Secretaries
• Filda V and Krishna Priya C P – Chief Student Editors
The event concluded with an interactive discussion, where students appreciated the opportunity to engage directly with the candidates. The “Meet the Candidate” program served as an excellent initiative to encourage transparency, communication, and active student participation in the college’s democratic process.
