The CICS College of Teacher Education, in association with IQAC, organized the Frontier Lecture Series #4 on October 6, 2025 (Monday) at 2:00 p.m. in the Conference Hall of the college. The session was titled “Beyond Borders: Globalising Education through Transcultural Pedagogy.”
The distinguished resource person for the lecture was Dr. Babu Abraham, Associate Professor of Management at the University of Paris.
The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal, Dr. Shylaja, who warmly greeted the guest and participants, highlighting the importance of transcultural learning in today’s global education scenario.
Following the welcome, Ms. Krishnapriya presented a review of Dr. Babu Abraham’s book “Kambili Kandathe Kalbaranikal,” appreciating its deep reflections on culture, identity, and education.
Dr. Babu Abraham then delivered an engaging and insightful lecture on the education system, where he discussed various aspects of globalisation in education and shared his personal experiences as an educator abroad. The session was highly interactive, with students and teachers actively participating in discussions and exchanging ideas. The simplicity, humour, and openness of his talk made it a truly enjoyable and enlightening experience for everyone present.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Vishnu Priya, who expressed gratitude to the guest speaker, the Principal, faculty, and students for making the event a success.
