Ceremony Overview
The Graduation Ceremony for the 2023–25 B.Ed. Batch at CICS College of Teacher Education was conducted on 27th September 2025 with dignity and warmth, celebrating not just academic achievement but the collective spirit of perseverance and community among future educators. The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries like Dr.Jayakumar IAS (former Chief Secretary, Govt. of Kerala), faculty members, alumni, students, parents, and other guests, emphasizing both excellence and inclusivity in teacher education.

Opening & Procession
The ceremony commenced with a cordial morning greeting, setting an uplifting tone for the day. Graduates made a ceremonial procession into the hall, led by the College Choir, marking their transition from student to educator. Dignitaries, families, and faculty rose to receive the graduates, reinforcing respect and celebration for their achievements.

Welcome & Addresses
Principal Dr. Shylaja C V delivered a heartfelt welcome, appreciating the dedication of students, staff, and the wider support network. Presidential Address was given by Janab P K Ahammed, acknowledging key milestones and extending encouragement to the next generation of teachers. Their speeches highlighted the college's commitment to building a supportive educational community.

Felicitation and Award Presentation
Significant achievements of faculty and students were formally recognized:
Dr. Roy John V: Honoured for winning the World Athletics Referee Bronze Level 2025, symbolizing international success and dedication.
Mrs. Shyja K G: Presented the prestigious Naree Puraskar for gender empowerment and academic impact, underscoring the importance of women’s leadership in education.
Ms. Aswathi V P: Earned the CSIR-JRF 2025, exemplifying research excellence.
Ms. Fathima Nasri: Awarded Bronze at the Kerala State Powerlifting Championship 2025, reflecting perseverance and discipline.Awards for student achievers were presented, including proxies in case of absentees, highlighting a policy of inclusivity and recognition for all contributors.

Graduation Day Address & Oath
Dr. K. Jayakumar, IAS, delivered an inspiring Graduation Day Address focusing on the role of educators as agents of change and compassion in society. He administered the graduation oath and distributed certificates to the toppers, celebrating those who embodied the core values of the institution.

Noted Top Achievers (2023-25 B.Ed Batch):
Graduates received certificates sequentially by specialization, celebrating both collective and individual achievements.

National Conference Announcement
CICS College of Teacher Education is proudly commemorating its 20th year of establishment. To mark this momentous biennial celebration, the institution is organizing a National Conference on the theme: “Integrated Teacher Education: A Professional Trajectory for Viksit Bharat 2047.
The college officially announced its upcoming National Conference, anticipated to unite leaders in education for discussion on innovation and best practices. The ceremonial release of the conference brochure signaled ongoing growth and ambition within the institution.

Felicitations
Voices of encouragement and celebration were shared by faculty, PTA representatives, alumni, and student union leaders, reflecting a broad base of support and pride in the institution’s progress.

Special Segment
Drama by Thanal SchoolA social awareness drama "ച്ചാമ്പക" (Champaka) was presented by the students of Thanal School for Differently Abled, Kozhikode. This performance was integral in promoting values of inclusion, respect, and empowerment, showcasing the talents and aspirations of children regardless of ability.

Closing & National Anthem
The Vice Principal, Mrs. Myrtle Victor, proposed the vote of thanks, acknowledging guests, honorees, organizers, and the wider college community. The ceremony closed by reaffirming the ethos of nurturing skilled and compassionate educators destined to impact society positively. Formal proceedings were followed by the National Anthem and a group photo session, marking the event’s conclusion.
